Sprint announces the LG G3 Vigor, a rebranded Beat

Posted In NEWS, REVIEWS - By DailyNews on Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 With 1 Comment

Why carriers choose to rebrand devices is a mystery. Verizon rebranded the HTC One mini 2, calling it the HTC One Remix earlier this year. Does this make the device any more appealing? I don’t think so. Sprint’s rebranding is even weirder, as the company has announced that it will be selling the LG G3 Vigor later this week.

The LG G3 Vigor is a rebranded LG G3 Beat, but unlike with Verizon, Sprint has changed an undescriptive word to an equally undescriptive word. We don’t know why they do it, but it’s not a big deal. The LG G3 Vigor features a 5-inch 720p IPS display, a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, a 2,540 mAh battery and an 8-megapixel camera with Laser Auto Focus.

While the G3 Vigor device isn’t a powerhouse, it’ll be pretty speedy thanks to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Plus, with a $299.99 off contract price, it’s a pretty good deal. The device launches September 19, so if you’re interested, you can buy it then. How many of you plan to buy this device?
