The update wasn’t announced with fanfare, but it surfaced through user reports on the r/S26Ultra subreddit, where Redditor Strong-Size-700 shared a screenshot confirming the download had landed on their T-Mobile-branded Android device.
The build carries version numbers S948USQU4BZID/S948UOYN4BZID/S948USQU4BZID, weighs in at 4.1GB, per Android Authority, and bundles the September 2026 security patch alongside the Android 17 foundation.
What’s notably absent is any official word from Samsung or T-Mobile confirming a formal rollout schedule.
The outlet also notes conflicting reports about whether AT&T-variant Galaxy S26 Ultra units are receiving the same build, and there’s currently no confirmation on when the standard Galaxy S26 or S26 Plus will follow in the US.
Why the US Got Its Turn Late
The delay tracks with how Samsung has handled every major One UI rollout in recent memory.
Carrier-locked devices in the US typically need extra certification time before an OS update ships, which is part of why Korea, several European markets, and Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE saw the stable build first.
Canada also jumped ahead of the US, with its rollout beginning September 21.
